Joy started her career in video production in 1998. She studied film at Scottsdale Community College (along with Bill Hader!) and earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications with an emphasis in electronic media.

She spent several years as an editor for Great Scott Productions, the #1 advertising agency in Phoenix at the time, and taught editing courses at a local university. She took a decade off to be a foster parent and earn a master's degree in Counseling. She is back to work as a freelance director, producer, and editor who delivers projects with excellence for a variety of amazing clients.
